5 Things I've Learnt This Week

5 Things I've Learnt This Week

“If you obey all the rules, you miss all the fun.” – Katharine Hepburn

1. Breaking the rules every now and then is good for the soul, it re-energises you.

2. Taking a selfie and posting it every so often (even if it's during drinks with your bestie) can really help to boost your self esteem.

3. Go out and spend the money, you can't take it with you when you die - the memories will last forever and a day.

4. Putting yourself out there when you meet new people will add to your confidence, if in doubt just pretend to be confident.

5. And, going out and doing things in the evening does help to beat your anxiety - push the limits.

Gooey Chocolate Flapjack Bites | Recipe

Gooey Chocolate Flapjack Bites |  Recipe

I've really been enjoying whole foods even more so recently and making EVERYTHING from scratch. So today I wanted to share a recipe I found on Deliciously Ella, and bearing in mind my flapjacks where all measured on guess work due to not having a set of scales. These flapjacks are full proof and still taste amazing!!

BASE

180g granola, 1 1/2 cups
50g desiccated coconut, 1/2 cup
170g honey or rice syrup, 1/2 cup
250g peanut butter, 1 cup
Pinch of salt

(I added a mixture of seeds into mine too!)

Start by making your base; mix the granola, coconut, peanut butter and salt in a large mixing bowl. Place your honey in a pan and bring to the boil, when boiling pour over the granola mix and stir well. Push the mixture down into a lined baking tray and set aside in the fridge to cool for 1-2 hours.

TOPPING

250g madjool dates, 1 1/2 cups
60g raw cacao powder, 1/2 cup
100g coconut oil, 1/2 cup
Squeeze of date syrup
2 tablespoons of coconut milk

Next make your chocolate topping; simply place all of the ingredients in a blender and blitz well until smooth. Spoon over the flapjack bottom and spread out well. Put the flapjacks back into the fridge to cool for another 1-2 hours.

What's your fav vegan treat?

Instore Shopping | 5 Stress Free Tips

In store shopping can be stressful but it becomes even more stressful when you get stressed out! So today I'm going to give you all the top tips for your stress free shopping days.
Wear loose clothing! Don't get fussy hard to put on things, go for easy loose and fling on items.

Go alone, might sound hard but honestly going with what your gut says works for you will honestly make life so much easier.

Wear make up? Always do your hair? Put a bit of extra effort in on shopping days, you'll be able to see what the outfits look like when your  a bit more extra.

Go with neutral no show VPL underwear, allows your clothes to skim your body and gives you the truest fit.

Plan your budget, there's nothing worse than half way through your shopping trip realising you've ran out of money. Plan out how much you'll spend for every couple of hours!
